THE ECSTASY By Peter Buchman

7:30 PM

Directed by Matt Bretz

Cast: Pierre Adeli, Gwyn Fawcett McColl, William Salyers , Casey Smith, Jayne Taini

We have never seen the true story of Casanova’s incredible life. The son of an actor, Casanova was born to the lowest ranks of Venetian society. He runs from a painful past by throwing himself into the joys of gambling, pleasure, and love. Venice is the city of masks. As the son of an actor, Casanova is never freer when he can hide his own identity behind one. He is also a scam artist. Casanova’s lies often get him in trouble with the authorities. Pre-Revolutionary French ideas about equality are in the air. Thematically, THE ECSTASY is about the freedom to follow your dreams, no matter who your parents are. This is also about a man who is on the run from the Law/Church, the transitory nature of his own desires, and his profound loneliness. Casanova conquers everyone and everything except his own solitary quest for contentment.

Special Thanks to: Ayzenberg Group, Michael Lund, Christie Hangey, George Dzneladze, Edgar Davtyan, Khara Fernando and Jolene Hjerlaid.

Tonight, and later, and earlier, three sisters (no, not those ones) are stricken with a series of strange plagues: Isabel's got pains. Anne's got slugs. And Genevieve doesn't want to talk about hers. She just wants you to eat the damn hummus (she made it!). Let's talk about family nightmares. I mean, uh, memories.
