WORLD PREMIERE:
Naked Before God by Leo Geter
Presented by Circle X Theatre Company at [Inside] the Ford
MAR 24 - APR 28, 2012
Naked Before God romps across the intersection of physical farce and dark comedy. Written and directed by Leo Geter, this world premiere play is inspired by the works of Joe Orton, David Rabe and Neil Simon. Its cast of American dreamers know they can be whoever they want to be. The problem is, they have to be themselves in order to get there.
Kristen, a struggling single mom, has hit upon a brilliant idea to transform the sins of her youth into lots of cash. All she has to do is convince her family to play along. Meanwhile, her live-in son has landed his first big job and plans to move his pregnant wife to Hawaii. When the one person Kristen didn't count on shows up on a dangerous overseas mission, schemes collide, threatening to keep her from selling a past she doesn't completely own.
